Manic Monday

man·ic   adjective pertaining to or affected by mania
mania  noun excessive excitement or enthusiasm

Much like robshep.com’s Mind Dumps, Manic Monday is just a snapshot of the random excitement that is inside my head.

*   I feel peer pressured by society (and Kathy) to eat yogurt. I can’t stand it. I literally have to wrap my mind around swallowing yogurt.
*   Thanks to free samples at Costco, I had some greek yogurt that wasn’t horrible. It’s Chobani Greek Yogurt, but the secret is that it’s the “champions” size. That means I just have to choke down a kid’s size yogurt. They only have 100 calories, but they have 8 grams of protein!
*   There are two main reasons I don’t like yogurt. They taste sour to me and the consistency is weird.
*   In conclusion, I received this text from Courtney last week. “Just found mold in my yogurt that doesn’t expire until March 18. Gross!” Case closed.
*   Rob recently changed jobs. While that might seem bizarre or scary to most, it has been amazing. It is so cool to see how God provides in ways you can’t imagine when you are obedient.
*   Rob started his own church- Next Level Church. It is so cool to see him in his element and passionate about what he is doing.
*   I became obsessed with the crock pot this year. When I am working at school or working at home with 3 kids, the crock pot has saved my tail! It is so easy and yummy. I’m not sure why it took me so long to figure it out.
*   One of our first years of marriage, I tried one recipe in the crock pot, but it was gross so I wrote it off.
*   I now have 2 full size crock pots and 2 mini crock pots for dips & such.
*   Here’s my favorite crock pot recipe for pork chops:
4 Bone in/Thick cut pork chops
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 envelope dry pork gravy mix
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
First place the pork chops down in the bottom. The remaining four ingredients will be mixed in a mixing bowl and then poured over the top of the meat. Cover and cook on Low for 8 hours. I serve them over mashed potatoes with a veggie.

*   Danielle and I got a little excited at Costco the other night and bought a 42 piece set of “Snapware” which is Tupperware with snap on lids. That’s about 20 pieces each folks for only $10!
*   This year I confessed to Rob that the office supply aisle at stores is my favorite. One can never have too many pairs of scissors or cool pens. Here is my favorite pencil & favorite pen. Don’t get me started on all the different color post-its!

Favorite yogurt, crock pot meal, and office supply? Do tell.
